Mission Statement
Harvest Co-op Markets is a community-owned
market with two stores in the greater Boston area. Harvest specializes
in fresh and wholesome food choices. You will find fresh, local
produce in season, fresh fish right off the pier, luscious local
and imported cheeses, naturally raised meat, an award-winning spice
section, bulk products, unique wines and beer, and more. We sell
natural, gourmet and conventional products. Harvest supports sustainable
agriculture, certified organic, fair trade, and local and small
family farms in our buying practices. Shopping at Harvest is an
investment in the community.

Open
to everyone:
Not a member? Not a problem
at Harvest Co-op. We serve the whole community.
Credit
and Debit Cards Accepted:
We accept MasterCard,
Visa and debit cards for your purchases, as well
as personal checks for the amount of your purchase
as long as it is from a Massachusetts bank with
valid Massachusetts picture ID with matching address.
We do not accept starter checks without a printed
name and address. Members can write checks for $50
over their purchase.

Show your card at the register:
Your Harvest
Co-op card identifies you as a member and gives
you your member discount and savings on Member
Coupons.
Buy organic:
Many
bulk, grocery, and produce items are organicgrown
and/or made without synthetic pesticides and
fertilizers. Many organically grown items are
specially labeled either on the product itself,
or on produce signs.
Buy bulk foods:
At Harvest, grains, nuts, cereals, oils, honey
and even soap, shampoo, and pet food can be
purchased in bulk. Buying bulk is usually less
expensive and allows you to buy as little or
as much as you need.
Here are some guidelines for buying
in bulk:
- Mark the product number on the container
or the sticker provided in-store. Product numbers are
clearly marked on signs on the front of bins or containers.
- Weigh the container you bring from
home so the weight can be deducted
from the price of the food. A glass jar may
weigh as much as a pound!
Ask any cashier
or deli counter staff to weigh your container
for you.
Place a special
order:
You can special order cases of any
product Harvest normally stocks, as well as any
product available through one of our regular suppliers.
Just complete a special order form at the Customer
Service Desk.

Special Order Policy:
Harvest Co-op offers
a 10%
member and 5% non-member discount on PRE-ORDERED
full cases, full bags of bulk foods and full
containers of bulk liquids.
Single items, partial cases or shelf products
do not qualify for this discount.
This offer may not be combined with Member
Appreciation Day discounts.An
associate at the front desk will take your order for
these items.
Reuse
your bags:
Harvest will refund five cents
for every shopping bag you reuse, as well as
for using a cloth shopping bag, backpack or other large
bag of your own.
Get
a rain check:
Harvest guarantees the price for advertised products.
You can receive a rain check for any sale product
that is out-of-stock.

Stamps and EBT cards:
We accept Foods
Stamps and EBT cards in our Cambridge
store. Jamaica Plain accepts food stamps, but unfortunately,
WIC coupons are not accepted because we
dont
have the space for all products required
by the program.
Seniors
and individuals with a disability can
receive a special discount card for
a 5% discount every day. |
Finding
us: Directions to our Stores
To our store
at 581 Massachusetts Ave, Central Square, Cambridge:
By Mass Transit (the T):
We are at the Central Square station on the Red Line, also on bus
routes 1, CT1, 47, 70, 70A, 83, and 91
Driving directions: Public
parking lots on both sides of the store. Do not park in the private
lot without meters, it does not belong to Harvest and you will be
towed if you park there.
We are on Massachusetts Ave., two
blocks east of the intersection with Prospect St., River St. and
Western Ave., halfway between Harvard Square and MIT.
From the West: Take the Massachusetts
Turnpike (Rt. 90) east to Allston/Cambridge (left exit to Cambridge).
Stay to the right after the tollbooths. Go straight over the bridge
onto River St. Stay on River St. for 12 blocks, one block past the
major intersection at Massachusetts Ave. Take a right on Bishop
Allen Drive, and park in either of the public parking lots on your
right in the second block. You are there!
From the North and South:
Take Rt. 93 to Storrow Drive West. After approx. 2 miles, take the
left exit onto Mass Ave westbound. Go over the bridge, and after
approx.1 mile take a right at the lights at Prospect St. Take your
first right on Bishop Allen Drive, and park in either of the public
parking lots on your right in the second block. You are there!
To our
store at 57 South St., Jamaica Plain:
By Mass Transit (The T):
We are on the 38 and 39 bus lines, and a short walk from the Forest
Hills stop on the Orange Line.
Driving directions: On street
parking only.
From the West: from Rts. 128 and
95 take Rt. 9 east past Rt. 1, under the bridge, then your second
right on South Huntington Ave. Stay right at the split. South Huntington
turns into Center St. Go through Jamaica Plain Center, stay left
at the Monument (South Street). Harvest is on your right just before
the next set of lights, on the corner of Custer St.
From the South:
From Rt. 93 to 95 North, to exit 15a, through Dedham, right on Washington
St (at the Circuit City), go straight at Forest Hills T station
onto South St, Harvest is _ mile up on the left just past the set
of lights on the corner of Custer St.
From the North:
Take Rt. 93 south to the Mass Ave North (to the right), take your
9th left onto Huntington Ave. Go left just before the Texaco station
onto South Huntington. Stay right at the split. South Huntington
turns into Center St. Go through Jamaica Plain Center, stay left
at the Monument (South Street). Harvest is on your right just before
the next set of lights, on the corner of Custer St.
