T'AI CHI CLASSES AT STILL MOUNTAIN T'AI CHI CENTER.
Ongoing classes are held at Third Life Studio at 33 Union Square, Somerville.
Taijiquan ("t'ai chi") is a martial art from the north of China. It is an internal martial art, which means that its power comes from internal energy known as qi (pronounced "chee") and from the natural tenacity of the body's bones, sinews and muscles. Derived from Taoist principles, taiji quan is also a means for personal growth and transformation. To describe it in more familiar terms: if yoga were a martial art, it would be taijiquan.
Bede Bidlack is the director of Still Mountain T'ai Chi Center (Ardmore, PA and Somerville/Cambridge) and has been teaching since 1995. He has lectured widely on oriental and occidental spirituality. RECYCLING GURUS NEEDED!
The Natural Products Expo East has a commitment to make the 2008 tradeshow at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center its greenest show to date.
One way we are doing this is by offering 6 recycling stations on the show floor staffed by a recycling expert, and we need your help to accomplish this.
Each recycling station will have four sections, one for paper, for comingled containers, for compost, and for trash.
The purpose of these stations is not only to improve the Natural Products Expo East’s diversion rate, but also to educate our attendees on the proper way to recycle and compost. We would like someone well-versed in this field to staff each station, and monitor that the appropriate items are being placed in the appropriate bin, answer any questions the attendee may have regarding recycling, and basically provide general knowledge about composting and recycling.
The event will be held Thursday through Saturday, October 16-18 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
The hours are from 10:00am to 6:00pm Thursday and Friday, and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday.Staffing a full 8 hour shift is preferred, but we are open to half-day shifts. The pay rate is $14/hour.
If you are interested in being a recycling “guru” please send an email to: expo.tradeshow@penton.com
A W-9 is attached. If you are selected to staff a recycling station, we will need a completed W-9 prior to the show dates from you to process payment.

AN INVITATION TO REAL HAPPINESS
Many of us want to skip the steps needed for genuine happiness. We want immediate peace and tranquility, a short-cut to nirvana. Not emotional healing. It can’t be done. The PATH to self-realization runs straight through our own precious beating Hearts.
I blend depth psychology and spirituality to point people back home. REAL HAPPINESS, as distinct from quick ego fixes and gratifications based on what we have or do, happens for people who are REAL. People willing to remove their masks, wake up to their reactive behaviors, and heal wounds. We can love without conditions. We can open our hearts. We can shake ourselves free from feelings of being unworthy or “less than.” We can be genuinely happy.
Let me help bring you to the door of Love’s presence, and the real empowerment calling from within.
Within the next few months, I will be providing people with a roadmap for happiness, healing and transformation.
This 2 hour session will be in the local metro Boston area and asks nothing of you except that you show up and be willing to step into your life’s purpose.
If you are interested in this invitation, respond with your first name and email address to the following email address and you will receive notice of the event’s time and location. In awe for us, Marc Weinreich - arc_we@yahoo.com
