Board of Directors Meeting
April 25, 2005

Present: Betsy Adams, Elisa Alonso, Karin Emry, Amy Cotter, David Hermann, Jessie Myszka (Vice President), Jeff Rosenblum (President), Loren Rodgers (by phone), Mike Wiecek; Rob Martin (GM), Erica Mintzer

Absent: Sujatha Byravan (Secretary)

The meeting convened at 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Cambridge Store. Amy Cotter facilitates.

1. Introductions and Organizational Issues
• Approve March Board Meeting Minutes, Public Session
Correction - Mike abstained on one vote; correct spelling for "celebration."
Motion to approve board meeting minutes, public session from 28-MAR-2005, with modifications, was made. Approved unanimously.

2. Open Discussion, Public Committee Reports
• Planning & Assessment Committee. No public report.
• Membership & Social Concerns Committee (MSCC). No public minutes were prepared in time for this meeting. Note that for Jamaica Plain "Wake Up the Earth" festival, Rob will ensure that a map to JP location will be included in publicity material.
• Finance Committee - no public report
• GM Search Committee - the search for a new GM is in progress; five ads have been placed in industry publications. The application includes essay questions, such as, how would you cultivate culture of ownership among staff? Jessie will email questions to board.

3. GM Report, Public, Open Discussion
Rob would like board members to attend the May 7 store celebration in Cambridge and sit at membership table and walk around the store (at different times) to talk up membership with shoppers and explain what makes Harvest a special place. Peak meet & greet the Board of Directors time will be 1PM to 5PM. These celebrations are inaugural events marking the changes occurring to improve Harvest and keep it going in the right direction.
